”Eyes Upon Waking” the real life movie about depression and Suicide - Jennifer Scott

Eyes Upon Waking is inspired by a true story about one woman’s struggle to come to terms with her own existence. This project is about the disease of suicide and how it is misunderstood by society. This film uncovers the darkness in the minds of those who suffer from their emotions yet shows how light can be found with the right kind of help. Those who are lost to us cannot be returned. I wanted to bring awareness of what they went through to those they've left behind. It is for any person with a friend or family member who has taken their own life and is left asking why.

A child refugee from Indonesia - Jane Vogel Mantiri

Through the eyes of a child. Jane's life works as a trauma healer, an artist, and a social justice warrior has been fueled by her experience as a child refugee from Indonesia. Jane and her family arrived in the United States in 1960 when she was 7 years old. Her life story is currently in production for a documentary, See JANE Run: an American story of surviving and thriving.

Juan Te Daily is a Veteran, Author, Mental Health Advocate, and Certified Life Coach with a B.S Degree in Criminal Justice. She is the founder of the Non-profit Dsquared Homes for the Homeless. She supports the mental health challenge with rental assistance, the homeless with hygiene bags, and the youth in Maricopa County with educational support. Juan Te's journey and inspiration is her son. "Everyone is one crisis away from homelessness"

Surviving through adversity - Former Child Refugee from Bosnia - Nejra Sumit

Everyone should have a place to call home, feel safe, and trust the people in their lives. But what if you had to flee your country because of a civil war, your father was taken away to a concentration camp, and you had to hide to survive and not know if you would be killed? My guest today is a former refugee who was forced to flee her home country of Bosnia. After surviving a civil war, Nejra and her family were granted asylum as a refugee in the United States in 1996. She was able to overcome a great deal of adversity, including adapting to a new culture and building a new life.

Boys to Men Mentoring Greater Phoenix is 1 in 14 centers in the US, its model helps adolescent boys (middle to high school) find the inner resources to navigate their lives successfully.

The life with having multiple Autoimmune diseases - Kimberly Gonzalez

At age 12 Kimberly was diagnosed with Raynaud's and Scleroderma, an autoimmune disease, at the age of 21 she was diagnosed with another autoimmune disease, Anti Phosphospholipid Syndrome (APS). She survived 2 strokes and in 6 months she lost 7 fingers from these diseases. Undoubtedly her life has been changed, but through the many struggles, Kimberly remains optimistic in her journey as an accomplished inspirational speaker and podcaster. Every day is a day of pain but to her, it is a reason to look at life with the attitude of having a second chance and always being grateful for another day.
